Diana Wamsteeker (She/Her) MSW, RSW

For over 20 years, I have had the immense privilege of stepping into the stories and lives of my clients - listening deeply, offering support, building skills, and helping people cultivate greater meaning and connection.

My therapeutic style is warm, genuine, down-to-earth, and compassionate. I strive to create a space where you feel truly heard and understood, while also offering evidence- based, practical, and realistic guidance. It is important to me that our sessions are centered on your goals, and that we collaboratively develop supportive, achievable strategies for meaningful change.

Together, we’ll explore the patterns and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck and develop tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected.

I am especially passionate about supporting women through perimenopause and the menopause transition.

I offer both brief, focused support to help shift your experience of hot flashes and night sweats; as well as longer-term therapy to address anxiety, depression, anger, identity shifts, relationship changes, and the complex demands of caregiving during this season of life.

I am a Registered Social Worker in the Province of Alberta and am authorized to provide virtual therapy services in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nunavut, and Yukon. I am also a Certified Menopause Mental Health Practitioner.

I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and thoughtfully tailor my work to each client’s goals and needs.

My training includes:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

  • Gottman Method (Couples Counselling)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

I offer daytime, weekday virtual therapy appointments.

I would be honored to support you as you navigate this chapter of your life, and I hope we connect soon.
