Dr. Keith Courtney

Dr. Keith Courtney is the Medical Director of Bloom Institute of Mental Health and Wellness. He has served as Medical Director of three prior mental health clinics focused on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. He graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency in general psychiatry at Louisiana State University, and a fellowship in cross-cultural psychiatry at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Courtney is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is certified in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Integrative Psychiatry by the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Calgary.

His clinical and research interests include psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, mindfulness-based psychiatric interventions, men's mental health, LGBTQIA2S+ mental health, and performance arts mental health.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, dance, gym workouts, cycling, skiing, and yoga. She also loves to travel, cook, paint, and unwind with a good show or movie.
